Job Title: Groundsperson

Job Summary

As a Groundsperson, you'll play an important role in supporting our tree crews by safely operating equipment, cleaning up job sites, assisting climbers and bucket operators, and helping keep projects running efficiently. This is a hands-on, outdoor position that requires teamwork, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to safety.

What You'll Do
  • Assist tree crews with daily job site operations.
  • Safely operate chainsaws, wood chippers, and other equipment.
  • Drag, stack, and feed brush into the chipper safely.
  • Set up traffic control and maintain safe work zones.
  • Identify hazards and help keep the job site safe.
  • Perform daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance.
  • Follow all company safety procedures and wear required PPE.
  • Assist with emergency response procedures, including bucket rescue when trained.
  • Maintain a clean, organized work area and equipment.
What We're Looking For
  • Safety-first mindset.
  • Ability to work well as part of a team.
  • Willingness to learn and follow company procedures.
  • Experience operating chainsaws or chippers is preferred but not required—we're willing to train the right person.
  • First Aid/CPR certification is a plus.
  • Valid driver's license preferred. CDL is a plus.
Physical Requirements
  • Lift and carry up to 75 pounds.
  • Work outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Walk, bend, climb, lift, and stand for extended periods.
  • Perform physically demanding work safely throughout the day.
