Job Title: Groundsperson
Job SummaryAs a Groundsperson, you'll play an important role in supporting our tree crews by safely operating equipment, cleaning up job sites, assisting climbers and bucket operators, and helping keep projects running efficiently. This is a hands-on, outdoor position that requires teamwork, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to safety.
What You'll Do- Assist tree crews with daily job site operations.
- Safely operate chainsaws, wood chippers, and other equipment.
- Drag, stack, and feed brush into the chipper safely.
- Set up traffic control and maintain safe work zones.
- Identify hazards and help keep the job site safe.
- Perform daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance.
- Follow all company safety procedures and wear required PPE.
- Assist with emergency response procedures, including bucket rescue when trained.
- Maintain a clean, organized work area and equipment.
- Safety-first mindset.
- Ability to work well as part of a team.
- Willingness to learn and follow company procedures.
- Experience operating chainsaws or chippers is preferred but not required—we're willing to train the right person.
- First Aid/CPR certification is a plus.
- Valid driver's license preferred. CDL is a plus.
- Lift and carry up to 75 pounds.
- Work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Walk, bend, climb, lift, and stand for extended periods.
- Perform physically demanding work safely throughout the day.
