Position Overview:

You will play a crucial role in ensuring that our clients get to their destinations safely and comfortably. As part of your ride share responsibilities, you will be transporting individuals who are wheelchair-bound or require special accommodations, ensuring they receive the care and assistance they need. While providing transportation you would be responsible for transporting individuals to various appointments, errands, and activities while delivering exceptional customer service. This is more than just a driving job—it's an opportunity to make a positive impact in people’s lives every day.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safe Driving: Operate company vehicles safely and responsibly, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
  • Customer Service: Provide courteous and professional assistance to clients, addressing any needs or concerns they may have.
  • Navigation: Plan and follow efficient routes to ensure timely arrivals and departures.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Conduct routine checks and report any issues with the vehicle to ensure it is in optimal working condition.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate logs of trips, mileage, and fuel usage, and ensure that all paperwork is completed as required.
  • Assistance: Help clients in and out of the vehicle as needed, ensuring their comfort and safety at all times.
  • Compliance: Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including those related to safety and confidentiality.
  • Ride-Share Driving: The driver will be required to apply for and maintain eligibility to drive for our Wheelchair Accessible Transportation ride share service. Drivers must be willing and able to work these shifts as assigned or scheduled, in accordance with company needs.

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 25 years old to be eligible for insurance coverage.
  • Valid Driver’s License: Must possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Clean Driving Record: 36 month clean driving record (no more than one recorded incident) and no DUIs in the last 5 years.
  • Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients of all backgrounds.
  • Reliability: Punctual, dependable, and able to manage time effectively.
  • Education: High school or equivalent (Preferred)
  • Physical Fitness: Ability to assist clients in and out of the vehicle, and handle any necessary lifting or carrying. Must be able to lift 150lbs and be able to move at least 250 lbs or more in wheelchair or gurney.
  • Background Check: Must pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
  • CPR/First Aid certified
  • Provide Fingerprint Clearance Cards
