About Us: Established in 1975 by an act of the Virginia General Assembly, the Capital Region Airport Commission owns and operates Richmond International Airport (RIC). The Commission directs the growth, operation and business activities of RIC and works tirelessly to ensure it continues to be an affordable option for local, regional, and out-of-state travelers.
Description of Responsibilities: This position is responsible maintaining a clean, safe and sanitary environment of the Airport Terminal, Commission offices, restrooms, and public areas through trash removal, vacuuming, dust mopping, and wet mopping.
Required Education and Experience:
  • Ability to read and interpret chemical labels and MSDS sheets at a level normally acquired through the completion of High School or GED.
  • Training and experience in custodial care of commercial buildings.

Required Skills:
  • Working knowledge of modern methods of Environmental Services care of public buildings and facilities.
  • Ability to learn and use all cleaning equipment used by the department to maintain the facility inside and outside; equipment such as escalator cleaning machine, buffers, auto scrubbing machines, upholstery/carpet cleaning machines, auto burnisher, foam and steam extraction equipment.
