Job Description

Healthcare United is seeking a full-time Hospitalist Physician to join a large, physician-owned multispecialty group in Southeast Massachusetts, located near Providence, Rhode Island.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Hospitalist looking for a stable, collegial, team-based inpatient medicine role with a 7-on / 7-off schedule, no required overnight shifts, and strong specialist support.

The group is physician-owned and physician-managed, offering a supportive clinical environment with access to specialists, case managers, and additional inpatient support staff.

Job Description

  • Full-time Hospitalist Physician opportunity in Massachusetts near Providence, Rhode Island
  • Join a large, physician-owned multispecialty group with approximately 180 providers
  • No required overnight shifts
  • Day rounding shift: 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
  • Admitting swing shift: 1:00 PM to 10:00 PM
  • Candidates must be open to either day rounding or swing shift assignment
  • Additional shifts may be available for physicians interested in extra work
  • Inpatient role at local community hospitals in Southeast Massachusetts
  • ICU admissions are rare
  • No intubations required
  • No ICU management required
  • No major trauma
  • Tertiary care resources available through major academic hospitals in Rhode Island and Boston
  • Case managers and additional support staff readily available
  • Emphasis on patient satisfaction, teamwork, and efficient care
  • Supportive, collegial, and well-trained Hospitalist team
  • Epic EMR used at both hospitals
  • Voice-recognition software available
  • App-based charge capture and billing system used for efficiency

Requirements
  • MD or DO
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
  • Active Massachusetts medical license or ability to obtain

  • Comfortable managing adult inpatient medicine cases
