Position Summary:

A systems engineer’s job is to design, implement, and maintain IT systems. This includes considering cyber security, networking implications, and cross system integration impacts. Well-built systems have low down time and strong resiliency. A systems engineer will troubleshoot issues when they arise and solve problems to minimize down time.


Job Duties & Responsibilities:

Technology Management

  • Oversee the design, deployment, and maintenance of IT systems, software, and networks.
  • Ensure robust cybersecurity protocols to safeguard organizational data and infrastructure.
  • Monitor technological trends and recommend innovations to improve processes and performance.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable IT regulations and standards.

Operational Support

  • Provide guidance and troubleshooting support for complex IT issues.
  • Ensure reliable operation of all technology systems, minimizing downtime and disruptions.
  • Manage IT vendor/supplier relationships.

Collaboration & Communication

  • Act as a liaison between the IT department and other organizational units.
  • Communicate IT plans, initiatives, and updates effectively to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with external vendors and service providers to optimize technology solutions.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of industry-standard computer hardware and software systems
  • Experience managing cloud based and on-premises servers
  • Familiarity with our software platforms including Azure, AzureAD, Exchange, Office 365, Intune, Sentinel One, KnowBe4, and Mimecast
  • Strong Azure experience is favored.
  • Some PowerShell, Power BI, low code, or Power Automate scripting ability

Competencies Required

  • Possesses project management experience

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in IT
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Proof of eligibility to work in the U.S.
