RGNext employees execute and report on theater and strategic offensive and defensive ballistic missile testing and support space situational awareness operations and experiments, using a wide array of highly sophisticated radar, telemetry and optical sensors to meet the needs of our nation in defending the United States and its interests.

This overseas position is located on Kwajalein Atoll in the Marshall Islands. Benefits of this unique location include free housing, three meals a day and potential for overseas U.S. tax incentives.

What You Will Do:

  • Coordinate and lead maintenance, repairs, troubleshooting, inspections and modification activities for all antenna servo hardware; to include large electric motors, gear reducers, bearings, brakes, lubrication and cooling systems as well as structural members and other hardware.
  • Program advanced PLC systems (e.g., Allen-Bradley) and write clean, structured, and reusable code.
  • Design intuitive HMI and SCADA interfaces to optimize machine monitoring, data collection, and operator troubleshooting.
  • Configure industrial networks and communication protocols including Ethernet/IP, PROFINET, Modbus, and CAN bus.
  • Develop statements of work for projects that will be subcontracted to external sources.
  • Assess the needs for equipment replacements and establishes replacement programs when needed.
  • Perform hands-on work in a tropical environment and at heights up to 150 feet.
  • Generate budgets, schedules, procedures, engineering drawings, and job hazard analyses.
  • Perform analysis of repetitive equipment failures.
  • Estimate maintenance costs and evaluate alternatives.
  • Perform occasional shift work to support operational tasking.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in engineering โ€“ electrical, mechanical, mechatronics, or a related STEM degree.
  • Two or more years of related experience.
  • Hands-on experience with maintenance and repairs.
  • Experience in project management.
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve complex root-cause failures in electrical, pneumatic, and control systems to minimize downtime.
  • Ability to lead large maintenance projects and provide work direction, training and mentoring to others.
  • Application of scheduling and project management principles to improvement projects and maintenance programs.
  • Ability to effectively utilize 2D and 3D Computer Aided Design software and has a working knowledge of drawing standards.
  • Mentor technicians providing technical guidance and establishing best-practice documentation for the team.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system throughput, machine safety, and energy efficiency.
  • Strong communications skills are required including the ability to interface directly with external customers and suppliers.
  • Proficiency using Windows Office Suite and MS Project.
  • Ability to lift/carry/push/pull up to 50 pounds independently.
  • Ability to work at heights up to 150 feet.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. passport.
  • Must be able to relocate to the United States Army Garrison, Kwajalein Atoll, Marshall Islands.
  • The flexibility to work occasional non-duty hours or on weekends to support specific project or mission requirements.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Hands-on experience with motion control, including VFDs, servo drives, and robotic integration.
  • Experience with using SolidWorks and/or AutoCAD.
  • Expert programming skills in ladder logic, structured text, and function block diagrams within Rockwell Studio 5000 or Siemens TIA Portal.
  • Deep knowledge of machine safety standards (e.g., ISO 13849, OSHA, NEC)
  • DoD test range systems O&M experience.
  • Certifications in Non-Destructive Testing.
  • Certifications in Corrosion Prevention and Control.
