Strong attention to detail, proficiency with digital measurement tools, and familiarity with flooring materials are important skills for this job.

Regular communication and teamwork are essential, as you may need to clarify details or adjust plans based on site conditions or client feedback.

To thrive as an RFMS Measurement Specialist, you need a solid understanding of flooring products, measurement techniques, and relevant industry standards, often supported by experience in flooring estimation or installation. Job description

FLOORING SALES ASSOCIATE

Retail & Remodel  ·  Full-Time  ·  In-Person  ·

If you're the kind of salesperson who walks into a showroom and immediately starts solving problems — not just showing samples — we've been looking for you.

Nampa Floors & Interiors isn't posting this because we need to. We're posting this because the great salespeople we are looking for are rare. When the right one becomes available, we want them to find us. If you're currently at a competitor, considering a move, or relocating to the Treasure Valley, this is worth five minutes of your time.

We've been doing this for 72 years. We have three beautiful showrooms, our own in-house state of the art countertop fabrication facility, dedicated employees, and a reputation in the Boise metro area that generates the kind of warm, referral-driven traffic most salespeople only dream about. We are not a big-box retailer. We are a family and we build long-term careers here to prove it.

THE OPPORTUNITY

This is a floor covering sales role built for someone who already knows what they're doing. You'll work in one of our showrooms consulting with homeowners and remodel clients on flooring, countertops, and shower projects from initial concept through final installation. You'll carry manage the entire project from physical measurements, product selection, estimating, scheduling, and follow-through because our customers expect that.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Consult with retail and remodel customers in-showroom, understanding project vision, timeline, and budget
  • Conduct jobsite measurements and current flooring inspections using Measure software
  • Build accurate, detailed estimates and proposals using RFMS
  • Guide customers through product selection from the top brands in the industry including carpet, hardwood, LVP, tile, countertops, showers, and more
  • Coordinate scheduling with our network of 125+ approved installation subcontractors
  • Own the project from first handshake through final walkthrough. You are the customer's point of contact
  • Follow up proactively to close sales, resolve concerns, and earn repeat and referral business

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

We'll be straightforward: this posting is aimed at experienced flooring sales professionals. If you're newer to the industry, we genuinely appreciate your interest — but this particular role is designed for someone who can hit the ground running.

The right candidate has:

  • 2+ years of flooring, countertop, or building materials sales experience — residential remodel and retail preferred
  • Proficiency (or strong familiarity) with RFMS and Measure software
  • A track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets
  • The ability to read a room, listen well, and translate a customer's vision into a solution they're excited to buy
  • Strong communication and organizational skills — you manage multiple projects simultaneously without dropping the ball
  • A collaborative mindset — our team wins together and supports each other

WHY NAMPA FLOORS & INTERIORS

We've watched good salespeople leave stronger companies for lesser ones because the culture wasn't right. We take that seriously. Here's what we can genuinely offer:

  • 72 years of brand equity in the Treasure Valley — customers come to us with intent to buy
  • The best product selection in the market — top manufacturers, full categories, and our own in-house state of the art countertop fabrication facility.
  • Three stunning, well-merchandised showrooms designed to help you close — not just browse
  • A stable, low-turnover team where people build 10-, 15-, and 20-year careers
  • A family-owned culture where your name is known, your wins are celebrated, and your voice matters
  • Aggressive, performance-based compensation — we want to pay you more, because it means you're selling more

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Highly competitive earning potential.

  • 401(k) with employer contribution
  • Health insurance allowance
  • Dental insurance option
  • Personal time off + holidays
  • Employee product discount
  • Monday–Friday schedule w/ potential Saturday rotation

ABOUT THE TREASURE VALLEY

Boise has been named one of the best cities in the country for quality of life, outdoor recreation, and family. If you're considering relocating from out of state, you'll find a fast-growing market, a reasonable cost of living (relative to comparable metros), and a community that actually wants to be here. We'd be happy to talk about the area and what relocation could look like.
