About the Team: Our Supply Chain and Logistics team mission is to provide top notch service to our stores and purchasing teams- contributing to the goal to make Grocery Outlet the first choice for bargain minded customers while touching lives for the better. Our team oversees the successful movement of products from our vendors to our stores and is self-motivated, passionate, and dedicated.
About The Role: We are looking for an RFC Loader to participate in our Regional Fulfillment Center operations and activities. RFC Loader key responsibilities include assembling, organizing, and processing inbound and outbound loads. The goal is to increase efficiency, profitability and customer satisfaction. This role reports to the RFC Operations Manager.
Responsibilities Include:
  • Ensure all truck, trailers, and material handling equipment meet safety requirements as defined in the RFCs safety policies and training prior to processing any loads.
  • Perform trailer pre-check, prior to unloading or loading any inventory.
  • Directly interact with all carriers and drivers in processing loads being delivered or retrieved from the RFC.
  • Ensure load integrity is maintained as pallets are staged and loaded. Use additional load security equipment as required.
  • Ensure all required documentation is secured and filled out with extreme attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Breakdown, consolidate, and assemble inventory on the dock and trailer to ensure weight and cube are maximized and legal, and ensure customer satisfaction with the final product.
  • Ensure outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage.
  • Keep clean and safe working environment and optimize space utilization.
  • Report any discrepancies and stay in constant communication with supervisors and coworkers.
  • Maintains safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and workstations neat; sweep, dust, and mop as required.
  • Always wear the proper safety equipment and follow safety procedures.
  • Any other duties as requested by respective supervisor and/or manager.

About The Pay:
  • Base Salary Range: $19.00 hourly.
  • 401(k) Profit Sharing.

  • Final compensation will be determined based upon experience and skills and may vary based on location.

About You:
  • 1+ years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse environment.
  • Physically able to safely operate various forklifts within the RFC, including sit-down, standup, and pallet jack forklifts.
  • Able to read and write legibly, demonstrate basic math skills, and communicate effectively.
  • Able to read and comprehend basic instructions, to interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedures.
  • Demonstrates good organizational and time management skills.
  • Knowledgeable in inventory control and general warehouse procedures.
