Reports To: Operations Supervisor

SUMMARY: Performs a variety of duties in loading, unloading trucks and moving materials within work site. Maintaining good manufacturing practices (GMP); maintaining product specifications in the pharmaceutical and Retail environment. Extreme attention to detail is required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.

  • Loading and unloading materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand or heavy power operated equipment, such as a Forklift. Order Picker, Reach Truck, Dock Stocker Forklift, and/or Power Operated Pallet Jack.
  • Loading materials into trailers/vehicles and install strapping or bracing or padding to prevent shifting or damage in the process of transit.
  • Must be able to pick orders; put-away orders or replenish lines and racking system by using a RF Scanner.
  • Attach identifying tags or labels to material or marks information on cases, boxes, or other containers conforming to packaging specifications, rejecting unacceptable packaging.
  • Must be able to read work orders and follow verbal instructions.
  • Will be required to maintain quality by following good manufacturing practices (GMPs), and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Keeps equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns and performing preventive maintenance as needed.
  • Maintains safe and healthy work environment by adhering to standards and guidelines, complying with legal regulations.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.
  • Enhances department reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

MISCELLANEOUS DUTIES: Assist in companywide activities and tasks associated within the facility as needed due to the workload.

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, and individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.   • Previous Equipment experience operating an Order Picker, Reach Truck, Dock Stocker Forklift, and/or Power Operated Pallet Jack (Will not be operating equipment 100% of the time)
  • Previous picking experience using RF Scanner
  • Ability to lift up to 75lbs if needed
  • Must not be scared of heights

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred, but not required. Prior forklift/warehouse experience required.

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and correspondence. Effective communication / comprehension skills - verbal and written.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to physically count, add, subtract, multiply and divide.

REASONING ABILITY: Ability to define problems establishes facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, talk, and listen. The employee frequently is required to use hands to fingers, handle, or feel. The employee is occasionally required to walk and reach with hands and arms. The employee must have the ability to bend, twist, stoop, reach, climb ladders, lift materials up to 50lbs, and move materials up to 600ilbs using a pallet jack or equipment.
