We are currently seeking a Sales Project Engineer to direct the sales and account management activities and coordinate product market intelligence for assigned customer base within assigned regional or territory. Promotes, prioritizes, and negotiates profitable business growth with new and existing customers. Coordinate and analyze customer forecasts and reporting requirements monthly. Support portfolio development, market trends, and cost reduction initiatives for next gen product to long term sustainability. Duties & Responsibilities

  • Plans, prioritizes, and manages the sales effort to build RFQ pipeline and awards to meet monthly, quarterly, and annual sales growth initiatives
  • Lead sales activities within region or territory to achieve the committed net new business objective (NNB) utilizing a strategy-to-win approach
  • Obtain customer intelligence to adjust order and revenue forecasts, flex sales strategy to meet corporate objectives, identify risks and opportunities. Clarify major market trends, lead & perform benchmarking to understand market pricing
  • Coordinate technical roadmap reviews, and creating sales opportunities with a consistent brand management plan
  • Develops annual budgets and portfolio strategy plans to expand business leveraging Amphenol RF technologies
  • Develop penetration plans for new customers in the territory
  • Sell and establish relationships with engineering and purchasing departments to expand sales volume with existing and new customers
  • Identify opportunities within our product line portfolios to include: modules and digital clusters, ADAS / infotainment / cameras, antennas, harness, and new emerging markets depending on customer next gen applications
  • Conduct market analysis in the region, independently create product line strategies to maximize content per vehicle
  • Work directly with customer Engineering to identify product and system level interconnect solutions
  • Work collaboratively with APH sister divisions to leverage relationships and provide complete interconnect solutions
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Ability to travel as needed (Minimum 50%)

Education / Experience Requirement

  • Technical degree highly preferred
  • 5 years automotive and APQP/PPAP experience required
  • Interconnect, RF interconnect, and/or Automotive component experience preferred
  • Self-motivated with an ability to work remotely with minimum supervision
  • New business negotiation skills are essential
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, experience with project management, and exceptional communication skills
