About this position: RF Technician Location โ€“ Anchorage, AK The Essential Duties and Responsibilities are intended to present a descriptive list of the range of duties performed for this position and are not intended to reflect all duties performed within the job. Other duties may be assigned. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each essential duty. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Install and service UHF/VHF, DAS, microwave, and other wireless communication systems. Program basic and mid-level code plugs for two-way radios and related equipment. Perform mobile radio installations, troubleshooting, and repairs. Recommend appropriate equipment and solutions to meet customer needs. Support the sales process through technical expertise and customer communications. Some regional travel and on-call hours are required. Required (Minimum Necessary) Qualifications Education Requirements: Associate degree in Electronics or IT (or equivalent experience). Level of Experience Requirements: Hands-on experience installing, programming, troubleshooting, and repairing RF equipment and two-way radio systems. Valid Driverโ€™s License. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics Proficiency in RF system configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting. Strong technical and analytical problem-solving skills. Effective verbal and written communication skills with both technical and non-technical Preferred RF Certification (e.g., ETA, NARTE, or equivalent). IP networking experience. Supervisory Responsibilities This position will not have supervisory responsibilities. DOT Covered/Safety-Sensitive Role Requirements This position is not subject to federal requirements regarding Department of Transportation โ€œsafety-sensitiveโ€ functions.
