Job description

CRITICAL REQUIREMENT (Read Before Applying)

  • MANDATORY RF & HIGH-FREQUENCY EXPERIENCE: This role strictly requires 5+ years of hands-on experience in RF (Radio Frequency), microwave production, high-voltage systems, or vacuum electronics (such as TWTs, Klystrons, or LINACs).
  • Note for Applicants: Standard mechanical assembly, HVAC, general manufacturing, or pure quality/QA backgrounds will not be considered. You must possess active, shop-floor technical troubleshooting depth and bench-level testing competence for high-frequency hardware.

About the Opportunity

ATR International is partnering with a premier manufacturer of highly specialized RF, microwave, and high-voltage power systems used in defense, aerospace, medical, and industrial applications.


We are seeking a hands-on, technically authoritative RF Microwave Supervisor to lead daily production on the assembly and test floor. This is a critical priority leadership role. The ideal candidate is an advanced Lead RF Test Technician and can step up to be or is a Senior Production Lead. The ideal candidate possesses deep technical domain expertise in RF testing and troubleshooting and is ready to step up into direct production supervision.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate daily floor activities to consistently hit safety, quality, delivery, and output goals.
  • Assign work, monitor line progress, and maintain clear visibility over Work-in-Progress (WIP).
  • Provide daily coaching, mentorship, and technical direction to test technicians and assemblers to enhance skill development and team production readiness.
  • Hands-on troubleshooting of RF testing setups, vacuum electronics, high-voltage systems, or equipment failures to minimize line downtime.
  • Partner with Manufacturing Engineering to optimize assembly methods, line configurations, and tooling.
  • Track and report daily performance metrics, including output, labor utilization, and first-pass yield (FPY).
  • Enforce strict quality standards, perform in-process quality checks, and maintain EHS compliance.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Technical Domain Depth: 5+ years of hands-on experience in complex electromechanical manufacturing, with strong experience in RF/microwave production, high-voltage systems, vacuum electronics, or tube testing (e.g., TWTs, Klystrons, LINACs).
  • Leadership Experience: 2+ years leading, supervising, or acting as a Lead / Senior Test Technician directing team workflows.
  • Troubleshooting Expertise: Proven ability to "walk the walk" with tenured technicians, diagnose system/test anomalies, and maintain floor momentum.
  • Continuous Improvement: Exposure to lean manufacturing principles and process improvement techniques.
  • Physical & Tech Requirements: Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel); ability to lift up to 30 lbs and operate a hand crane for items exceeding 30 lbs.
  • Education: Associate degree in a technical field (or equivalent technical/military training); Bachelor's degree preferred.
