This role requires the ability to make rapid, informed decisions in dynamic environments and to support evolving customer requirements, including occasional travel and surge support.

Key responsibilities include: * Ensure availability and performance - Maintain and test mission communication capabilities across IT, RF, voice, video, and data systems under varying conditions. * Operate and maintain communications systems - Troubleshoot, analyze, and restore services; coordinate with third‑party providers as needed. * Determine operational courses of action - Apply technical expertise to recommend and implement solutions; brief customers on system status.

* Set up and train users - Operate and instruct users on voice, video, radio, satellite, and data network systems. * Make tactical decisions under pressure - Take decisive action in stressed environments to ensure mission success. * Manage dynamic tasking - Prioritize workload to meet customer expectations in changing operational conditions.

* Recommend process improvements - Identify efficiency gains and innovative approaches to enhance service delivery. * Support new system capabilities - Assist with design, planning, testing, installation, and operational rollout of new systems. * Maintain configuration and documentation - Ensure proper change control and maintain current system documentation.

* Respond to alternate locations - Travel or deploy as needed to support evolving mission requirements (approx. 10%). * Perform physical installation tasks - Lift up to 50 lbs, work under desks, climb ladders, and manage cable routing as required.

Education and Experience: * Five (5) years of related experience in communications, A/V, VTC, RF, or IT systems support; or equivalent combination of education and experience. * Experience setting up and troubleshooting circuits, equipment, and communication pathways. * Experience making, running, and testing cables; performing loopbacks; and installing equipment.

* Hands‑on experience using VTC equipment in operational environments. * Ability to travel up to 10% based on mission needs. Required Skills and Competencies: * Active DoD TS/SCI clearance with adjudication within the last 5 years or designated CE; ability to obtain and maintain special accesses.

* Experience supporting communications systems including voice, video, RF, satellite, and data networks. * Strong troubleshooting skills across IT, RF, and A/V systems. * Ability to operate under pressure and make rapid, mission‑critical decisions.

* Strong communication and customer‑facing skills. * Ability to manage multiple tasks in dynamic operational environments. * Must obtain CompTIA Security+ within 6 months of hire.

Clearance Requirement: * TS/SCI security clearance Preferred Skills: * Four‑year degree in a related technical discipline plus ten (10) years of related experience, or equivalent combination. * Experience as a Network Administrator or Systems Administrator. * 5-10 years of experience in RF systems (HF, VHF, UHF, EHF, AEHF).

* Experience with cryptographic systems, radio systems, VTC systems, satellite systems, and network architecture. * Experience with inside cable plant distribution systems. * Commercial or military RF systems training certifications.
