Jackson HealthPros is seeking a travel Interventional Radiology Technologist for a travel job in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.

Join our skilled team of imaging professionals as an Interventional Radiology Technologist in Winston-Salem, NC. You will perform invasive diagnostic and interventional procedures, operate and assure quality of imaging equipment, and monitor patients throughout procedures. This role supports complex neuro and body interventional cases in an academic, Level 1 trauma hospital environment.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of Interventional Radiology (IR) experience specific to IR Body and IR Neuro at a Level 1 Trauma Center. This is a client requirement.
  • ARRT-R (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) or RCIS credential.
  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
  • State radiologic technologist license for North Carolina.
  • Demonstrated skills scrubbing and assisting in IR procedures and circulating to operate equipment and provide supplies.
  • Experience with Siemens, GE, and Philips imaging systems and GE ultrasound units preferred.
  • Experience working with EPIC/Encompass EMR preferred.
  • Ability to work with and precept new graduates; department culture includes many newer staff.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with complex IR procedures including embolization, thrombectomy, Y-90, SIR spheres, biopsies, drainage and vascular interventions.
  • Neuro IR experience with stroke and neurovascular procedures preferred.
  • NIHSS, ACLS or other advanced certifications are a plus.

Assignment Details

  • Shifts: 3x12s, 4x10s (0800–1830), or 5x8s (0800–1630).
  • Typical department case volume: approximately 45–50 cases per day across 8 IR rooms.
  • Call required: approximately 3–4 call days per month.
  • Weekend call rotation: roughly every 5th–6th weekend; weekend call period spans Friday ~1630 to Monday 0800.
  • Holiday expectation: must work if scheduled; coverage approximately 75% of holidays.
  • Orientation: up to 2 weeks of facility/unit orientation.
  • Parking: free.
  • Floating: not required.

The city has a growing culinary scene and hosts annual events such as the RiverRun International Film Festival, and it is approximately a 1 hour drive to Greensboro and 1.5–2 hours to Charlotte for additional urban amenities and regional transit connections.
