Job Summary:

Rewind Operator is responsible for having Rewind Machines staged with materials and tooling for efficient workflow. Run machine and complete jobs in an efficient manner. Assisting with Quality Control in the pressroom. Performing any other additional activities as directed by your supervisor (which may include running a machine, and/or assisting in maintenance needs).

Duties /Responsibilities :

  • Operates rewind machinery.
  • Reviews client requests to understand scope and parameters of rewind jobs.
  • Determines quantities required for rewind job.
  • Aligns and configures machinery.
  • Inspects random production samples to evaluate quality of work.
  • Troubleshoots issues with rewind machine and makes basic repairs.
  • Performs routine maintenance on rewind machines.
  • Drafts and submits reports for daily production totals.
  • Maintains a clean area around rewind machinery.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills /Abilities :

  • Ability to operate or to quickly learn to operate various rewind machines.
  • Ability to follow instructions.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent Mechanical Skills
  • Punctual and Reliable.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2+ Years Manufacturing/Warehouse experience required.
  • Experience with Rewind Machinery preferred.
  • Experience in Narrow Web Printing Industry preferred.
  • Vocational/technical school training preferred; on-the-job training provided.
  • Previous related experience preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Physically able to operate printing machines.
  • Able to bend, twist, and kneel.
  • Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds.
