Location: Seattle, WA, hybrid role

About Refugee Women’s Alliance (ReWA): Refugee Women’s Alliance (ReWA) is a nationally recognized, multiethnic nonprofit organization serving refugee and immigrant women and their families across King County. Through culturally and linguistically responsive programs, including early learning, youth, and family services, ReWA supports communities in achieving stability, economic independence, and long‑term success. ReWA’s Early Learning programs are grounded in high quality, inclusive educational practices that promote strong outcomes for children and families.

We are seeking an experienced Interim Senior Education Director to provide hands‑on leadership support during a period of transition and growth. This 3 to 4 month assignment will focus on strengthening day‑to‑day operations, supporting and mentoring the management team, and ensuring continuity across programs.

This role will work closely with internal leaders to guide, coach, and support managers, while helping the team navigate staffing changes, new center openings, and enrollment goals.

This is a temporary, interim assignment, and no additional employer‑sponsored benefits (e.g., medical, dental, retirement) are provided for this short‑term role.

What You’ll Do:
  • Provide hands‑on mentorship and coaching to program managers, supporting leadership development and team effectiveness
  • Partner closely with leadership to support day‑to‑day program operations across multiple early learning sites
  • Lead and support recruitment, hiring and onboarding efforts, including staffing for new centers and current vacancies
  • Support employee retention efforts by guiding managers and strengthening team stability
  • Collaborate with leadership on enrollment strategies to help programs reach capacity
  • Observe program operations and offer practical, real‑time recommendations for improvement
  • Serve as a trusted partner to the Executive Director and leadership team, offering guidance on operations, staffing, and program effectiveness
Qualifications:
  • Senior leadership experience in early childhood education or a related field
  • Experience supporting multi‑site programs and leadership teams
  • Strong background in hiring, onboarding, and team development
  • Demonstrated ability to step into organizations during transition and provide hands‑on operational support
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and coach leaders effectively
  • Knowledge of Washington State early learning systems (preferred)
Additional Information:

This is a temporary role expected to last approximately 3 to 4 months, supporting the organization during a transition period and positioning the team for long term success. Employment is at will and may end earlier or extend based on organizational needs.
