Mechanical Revit Designer

Contract 12 Months

Fulltime

Houston or Phoenix, Arizona


Global Edge Group leaders within Technology currently require a Mechanical Revit Designer to support multidisciplinary engineering teams in the design and delivery of building systems by developing coordinated BIM models and construction documents for HVAC duct systems using Autodesk Revit. Works closely with mechanical engineers and other disciplines to deliver high-quality designs for Semiconductor, Life-Sciences / Pharma, Datacenters and industrial projects.


Key Responsibilities

โ€ข Develop detailed HVAC ductwork layouts and 3D BIM models in Revit (MEP)

โ€ข Capable of creating a BIM Revit 3D model from scratch and detailing it up to LOD 300 / FEED

phase and beyond into a LOD 400 / Detailed design, Issued for fabrication stage. This should incorporate complete HVAC ducting details including duct supports, instruments, fire-detection features, and be ready for testing and balancing and commissioning

โ€ข Prepare construction documents including plans, sections, and details in accordance with consulting standards

โ€ข Coordinate with electrical, plumbing, structural, and architectural teams to ensure clash-free designs

โ€ข Perform model coordination and clash detection using Navisworks

โ€ข Interpret engineering calculations and translate them into constructible layouts

โ€ข Support engineers with design development, redlines, and revisions across project phases


Key Skills

โ€ข Strong proficiency in Autodesk Revit (MEP modeling, worksets, families)

โ€ข Solid understanding of HVAC fundamentals (airflow, duct sizing, equipment layout)

โ€ข Having experience in Plumbing and Fire-Protection systems is considered an additional benefit

โ€ข Ability to work in fast-paced, deadline-driven project environments

โ€ข Experience with multidisciplinary coordination and BIM workflows

โ€ข Strong communication skills for working with engineers and project teams


Preferred Qualifications and Experience

โ€ข Degree or coursework in Mechanical Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or related field

โ€ข Minimum Ten (10) yearsโ€™ industry experience with AutoCAD and BIM coordination platforms

โ€ข Exposure to building systems design in the following sectors:
