Job description

Salary: $105,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year

Joseph J. Albanese, Inc. is seeking a full-time BIM Modeler to join our Virtual Construction team. This individual will report directly to our BIM Manager. The ideal candidate will have either a structural or architectural background with BIM experience. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Analyze construction drawings and build 3D model of concrete scope of project
  • Identify design and constructability issues, and communicate with the project team through the RFI process
  • Collaborate with GC and other trades in the BIM coordination process
  • Prepare shop drawings for submittal and coordination with field crews
  • Prepare digital files for Total Station layout in the field.
  • Extract model quantities and prepare pour sequence drawings

NOTE:These duties listed are meant to describe the general scope of the work. Other duties may be assigned based on business needs within the organization.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3 - 4 years Revit experience, Revit Professional Certification a plus
  • Bachelors degree in architecture, engineering, construction, or equivalent
  • Strong computer skills in Revit and Microsoft Office, plus the ability to learn Autodesk Build, Bluebeam, and Navisworks
  • Ability to read and understand construction drawings
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong work ethic,team player, and attention to detail
  • Formwork detailing is a plus.

OTHER:

  • General work environment sitting for long periods, standing, walking, typing, bending.
  • Occasional lifting of up to 20 lbs.
