Job description

Associate Attorney – Business Litigation

Coral Gables, FL | Full-Time | In-Office

Are you an ambitious attorney looking to build a true litigation career not just review documents from behind a desk?

Annesser Armenteros is a growing business litigation firm representing companies, entrepreneurs, developers, and business owners in sophisticated commercial, construction, and real estate disputes. We're seeking an Associate Attorney who is eager to develop into a skilled trial lawyer through hands-on experience, meaningful responsibility, and direct mentorship from experienced litigators.

If you're looking for a role where your work matters, your writing is valued, and you'll gain real courtroom experience, we'd like to meet you.

What You'll Do

As an Associate Attorney, you'll work alongside senior litigators while managing substantive responsibilities on active cases from the outset.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Drafting motions, pleadings, memoranda, and legal correspondence.
  • Conducting legal research and developing litigation strategy.
  • Managing all phases of discovery, including drafting requests and responses, reviewing productions, and handling discovery disputes.
  • Preparing for and attending hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials.
  • Communicating directly with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and the courts.
  • Assisting with case strategy and trial preparation on complex commercial matters.
  • Taking increasing ownership of cases as your experience grows.

What We're Looking For

  • Active member of the Florida Bar in good standing.
  • 1–3 years of litigation experience preferred (judicial clerkship, law review, or strong moot court experience will also be considered).
  • Excellent legal research, analytical, and writing skills.
  • Strong oral communication and advocacy abilities.
  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced litigation practice.
  • A proactive, coachable professional who takes initiative and embraces responsibility.
  • A genuine interest in becoming an accomplished business litigator.

Practice Areas

You'll gain experience handling sophisticated matters involving:

  • Commercial litigation
  • Business disputes
  • Contract disputes
  • Construction litigation
  • Real estate litigation
  • Partnership and shareholder disputes
  • Breach of fiduciary duty claims

Why Join Annesser Armenteros?

We believe great litigators are developed through experience not by sitting on the sidelines.

From your first day, you'll receive meaningful assignments, direct client interaction, courtroom exposure, and mentorship from experienced attorneys committed to your professional growth. You'll have the opportunity to build your litigation skills while contributing to challenging, high-stakes cases.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive salary based on experience
  • Performance-based bonus opportunities
  • Health insurance
  • Paid time off and paid holidays
  • Mentorship and professional development
  • Clear path for advancement within a growing firm

Build Your Litigation Career With Us

If you're ready to take ownership of your work, sharpen your advocacy skills, and grow with a collaborative litigation team, we'd love to hear from you.

Please submit your resume through ZipRecruiter.
