The VP Fintech Sales Executive role is a high-impact, revenue-driving role which is central to scaling the bank's position as a leading Fintech sponsor bank and infrastructure provider in the embedded finance ecosystem. This role is responsible for driving strategic partnerships that fuel revenue growth, expand market presence, and enable innovative financial products-while ensuring alignment with regulatory and risk standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Business Development & Pipeline Creation
    • Drives new partner acquisition across fintechs, marketplaces, and enterprise brands pursuing embedded finance strategies.
    • Proactively builds and manages a high-value pipeline through outbound prospecting, industry networks, and strategic partnerships.
    • Identifies and prioritizes high-impact opportunities aligned with the bank's growth strategy.
  • Enterprise Sales Execution
    • Leads complex, multi-threaded enterprise sales cycles involving founders, C-suite executives, and cross-functional stakeholders.
    • Maintains control and momentum throughout the sales process, proactively addressing internal and external blockers.
    • Consistently progresses deals from initial engagement through contract execution.
  • Deal Structuring & Commercial Strategy
    • Structures and negotiates commercial partnerships, including program design, pricing, revenue share models, and contractual terms.
    • Translates sophisticated client use cases into scalable sponsor bank program designs (e.g., card issuing, deposits, payments).
    • Ensures all deals align with regulatory requirements and the bank's risk appetite.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership
    • Acts as the primary deal quarterback, driving alignment across compliance, risk, legal, finance, and product teams.
    • Navigates internal processes efficiently to accelerate deal timelines and reduce friction.
    • Partners closely with internal stakeholders to ensure successful program design and launch readiness.
  • Client Advisory & Market Leadership
    • Establishes credibility as a trusted advisor on regulatory frameworks, program governance, and go-to-market strategy.
    • Represents the bank as a thought leader within the fintech ecosystem through events, partnerships, and industry engagement.
    • Builds long-term relationships with senior stakeholders across client organizations.
  • Pipeline Management & Forecasting
    • Maintains accurate pipeline tracking, forecasting, and reporting.
    • Provides clear visibility into deal progression, risks, and revenue expectations.
    • Consistently operates with a high degree of discipline and accountability in sales reporting
  • Qualification Requirements

    Qualification Requirements

    • 6+ years of experience of enterprise sales or business development experience in fintech, banking, payments, or BaaS.
    • Proven track record of hunting, developing, and closing complex, high-value deals (multi-million dollar partnerships preferred)
    • Direct experience with sponsor bank models, embedded finance, or program management ecosystems
    • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements (KYC, AML, consumer compliance, third-party risk) and their impact on deal structuring
    • Demonstrated ability to navigate and influence multiple stakeholders across both client organizations and internal teams
    • Exceptional negotiation, deal structuring, and commercial acumen
    • High sense of ownership, urgency, and resilience in long, complex sales cycles
    • Executive presence with the ability to engage founders, C-suite leaders, and senior decision-makers
    • Strong fluency in API-driven financial infrastructure.
