To check and key all Customer returns into the system.

Purpose of Position

To check and key all Customer returns into the system.

Essential Job Functions

  • Receive and inspect returned goods for damage, defects, or discrepancies.
  • Verify return authorization and documentation.
  • Work with vendors on any questions or missing return authorizations.
  • Record return transactions in inventory or ERP systems.
  • Provide the vendor with all necessary details for input into their system.
  • Sort and categorize items for restocking, disposal, or repair.
  • Communicate with customer service and warehouse teams regarding return issues.
  • Assist with inventory counts and audits as needed.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the returns area.
  • Follow safety procedures and company policies at all times.

Education and Certifications, Experience and Skills, and Competencies

  • High School Diploma or equivalent work experience.
  • Generally, 6+ months of relevant work experience preferred, but not required.
  • Listens and gets clarification
  • Observes safety procedures, reports potentially unsafe conditions, uses equipment and materials properly
