Job description

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support Retread Operations:
    Assist in managing the day-to-day functions of the retread plant including tire inspection, buffing, repairing, building, and curing processes.
  • Quality Control & Safety:
    Monitor processes for compliance with company and industry quality standards. Enforce safety protocols and ensure team adherence to OSHA and company guidelines.
  • Team Supervision:
    Assist in training, mentoring, and supervising retread technicians. Provide hands-on support and leadership to maintain production targets.
  • Equipment Oversight:
    Ensure all retreading machinery and tools are maintained and in good working condition. Coordinate repairs or service as needed.
  • Inventory & Materials:
    Help manage raw material inventory (tread rubber, bonding agents, etc.) and ensure materials are properly stocked and accounted for.
  • Process Improvement:
    Identify areas for operational improvements to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and boost overall productivity.
  • Reporting & Documentation:
    Maintain accurate records of production output, defects, and equipment maintenance logs.
  • Support Facility Leadership:
    Work closely with the Plant or Retread Manager to execute strategic goals, manage staffing levels, and meet customer expectations.

Skills, Education & Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent (required); technical training preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years experience in a retread, commercial tire, or production facility (leadership experience preferred).
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with retreading processes.
  • Ability to lift 30-250 lbs., stand for long periods, and work in physically demanding conditions.
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug screen.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record required.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
