Job description

Reporting to the Sr. Benefits Manager, the Benefits Analyst is responsible for the administration of the company’s benefit programs and is actively involved in program development, implementation and continuous improvement efforts.andnbsp; This position serves as day-to-day contact for third-party administrators and independently provides direction with respect to maintenance of records and administrative procedures.andnbsp; The Benefits Analyst handles employee and retiree benefit issues escalated by our field HR partners to ensure quick, equitable and courteous resolution.andnbsp;

  • Applies knowledge of company’s benefit programs, policies and processes to provide day-to-day administration of applicable benefit plans and programs
  • Provides exceptional customer service resulting in a positive experience; responds to benefit inquiries and resolves moderately complex issues; escalates as appropriate
  • Builds and maintains strong relationships with plan providers; troubleshoots issues; ensures the successful transmission/receipt of vendor interface files while completing necessary corrective action for records with errors
  • Monitors inbound and outbound integrations between HRIS system and external benefit vendors, carriers, and payroll system to ensure data accuracy and integrity
  • Proactively identifies opportunities to enhance benefit program value, streamline processes and improve the employee experience
  • Designs and executes controls to ensure process oversight, data quality, compliance and operational effectivenessl
  • Supports benefit plan regulatory compliance activities (e.g., government filings, nondiscrimination testing, ACA reporting, etc.), internal/external audits and ensures compliance with all applicable laws and regulations (e.g., ACA, COBRA, ERISA, HIPAA, etc.)
  • Leads moderately complex projects (e.g., annual enrollment) and other initiatives under the supervision of more experienced team members
  • Collaborates with internal and external partners to create effective benefit plan communications and increase employee engagement; develops and delivers communications in support of training, compliance and change management initiatives
  • Processes corrections, benefit-related transactions, audits, and reconciliations while maintaining a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Support ongoing reporting, analysis, and documentation efforts to improve benefit program administration and decision-making
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree (Human Resources, Business or related field)
  • Four (4) years of benefits administration experience preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships and effectively interact with employees, HR partners, vendors, consultants, and other stakeholders while influencing outcomes
  • Strong customer-service orientation with a collaborative, positive, and solutions-focused approach
  • Possess superior analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Proactive, highly-driven and self-directed; capable of handling multiple tasks simultaneously while quickly adapting to changing priorities; able to self-manage work focus and time for optimum results
  • Ability to establish project plans and effectively manage internal resources and third parties/vendors
  • Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail
  • Strong proficiency with MS Office products (emphasis on advanced Excel skills)
  • Commitment to professional development, to include pursuing professional designations (e.g., CEBS, SPHR/PHR, etc.)
