Job Requirements
  • Active Tennessee RN license or compact RN license
  • At least 1 year of MS/Tele, telemetry, or stepdown nursing experience required
  • Recent Epic EMR experience within the last 12 months
  • Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
  • Experience caring for neuro, cardiac telemetry, or stepdown patients preferred
  • Ability to float to other MS/Tele units or low-acuity ICU areas as needed
  • Strong clinical assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills
Responsibilities
  • Provide safe, compassionate patient care to neuro and surgical telemetry patients on a stepdown unit
  • Monitor cardiac rhythms, neurological status, and overall patient condition
  • Administer medications and treatments in accordance with nursing standards and hospital protocols
  • Respond to changes in patient condition and collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure timely intervention
  • Document nursing care accurately and efficiently in Epic
  • Support patients and families through education, reassurance, and professional communication
  • Float to comparable units when needed to support patient care
  • Contribute to a team-focused environment built on quality, safety, and patient-centered care
