About the Role:
Somerset Learning Center is looking for a knowledgeable and reliable High School Math Teacher/Tutor to join our team in Raritan, NJ! 
This is a great opportunity to make a difference in students' lives by building their confidence and math skills in a supportive learning environment. This position is ideal for a full time math teacher looking to tutor in the summer and after school, as well as a retired math teacher who wants to continue helping students a few hours per week.
Responsibilities:
  • Provide individual instruction to reinforce concepts in Algebra, Geometry, and Precalculus
  • Prepare students for math sections of standardized tests such as the SAT (we will train)
  • Create an encouraging and engaging learning atmosphere
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field
  • State Teaching Certification is a plus
  • 2+ Years Prior teaching or tutoring experience of high school math
  • Strong content knowledge in Algebra, Geometry, and Precalculus
  • Excellent ability to clearly explain math concepts and a patient, motivating teaching style
  • Reliable and conveniently located to our office in Bridgewater/Raritan NJ
