Position: Part-Time Math & Science Teacher

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 11:30 a.m.–3:30 p.m.

International Sports Institute (ISI) Academy is seeking an engaging and experienced Part-Time Math & Science Teacher to provide high-quality instruction to student-athletes in grades 9–11.

The ideal candidate will be passionate about working with motivated student-athletes in a small, personalized academic environment. The teacher will provide instruction across appropriate high school mathematics and science courses while helping students develop the critical-thinking, problem-solving, and study skills necessary for success in high school, college, and beyond.

The position is scheduled from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, making it particularly well suited for a collegiate adjunct professor, partially retired teacher or professor, doctoral candidate in education or a related academic field, or an educator who teaches evening courses at a college or community college.

• Provide engaging and academically rigorous mathematics and science instruction for students in grades 9–11.
• Teach courses based on student needs that may include Algebra, Geometry, Algebra II, Biology, Chemistry, Physical Science, and other appropriate high school-level subjects.
• Develop lesson plans aligned with ISI Academy curriculum requirements and appropriate academic standards.
• Differentiate instruction to meet varying student abilities, learning styles, and academic needs.
• Provide individualized and small-group instruction when appropriate.
• Develop assignments, projects, quizzes, tests, and other methods of assessing student understanding.
• Monitor and document student academic progress and maintain accurate grades and records.
• Provide regular feedback to students regarding academic performance and areas for improvement.
• Help students develop strong problem-solving, quantitative reasoning, scientific inquiry, and critical-thinking skills.
• Provide academic support for students who miss class because of athletic competitions, travel, or other approved academy activities.
• Collaborate with ISI teachers, coaches, administrators, and academic support staff to coordinate the overall development of student-athletes.
• Participate in parent conferences, faculty meetings, and student progress discussions as required.
• Maintain a positive classroom environment emphasizing accountability, curiosity, effort, respect, and academic integrity.

ISI Academy provides an educational model specifically designed to allow serious student-athletes to pursue high-level athletic development while receiving a strong academic education.

Teachers must understand the unique demands placed on student-athletes and be willing to provide structure, flexibility, and accountability. The objective is not to reduce academic expectations, but to create an educational environment that allows students to successfully balance demanding academic and athletic schedules.

• Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Science, Education, Engineering, or a related field required.
• Master's degree or advanced graduate study preferred.
• Demonstrated knowledge of high school-level mathematics and science.
• Prior high school, college, university, tutoring, or other instructional experience preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to teach students with different academic abilities and learning styles.
• Strong organizational and classroom-management skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a small-school, collaborative environment.
• Commitment to mentoring and supporting student-athletes academically and personally.
