Job description

Position Available: Certified Retinal Angiographer / Ophthalmic Photographer (Full-Time)

NY Retina is a growing retina specialty practice dedicated to the diagnosis and treatment of complex retinal diseases. We are seeking a skilled and motivated Certified Retinal Angiographer / Ophthalmic Photographer to join our team.

Position Overview

This role is responsible for capturing high-quality ophthalmic images to support diagnosis, treatment, and clinical research. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, technically skilled, and comfortable working in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform fundus, anterior segment, and external ophthalmic photography
  • Conduct fluorescein angiography (FA) and indocyanine green angiography (ICG)
  • Perform diagnostic imaging such as OCT and other computerized imaging scans
  • Maintain and troubleshoot imaging equipment and manage supply inventory
  • Accurately document and maintain imaging records within patient charts and systems
  • Prepare images for physician review, presentations, and clinical use
  • Assist with imaging for clinical trials as needed
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Strong knowledge of ocular anatomy
  • Experience in ophthalmic photography and digital imaging
  • Proficiency with imaging equipment and computer systems
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organization
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Prior experience as an ophthalmic technician - preferred
  • Certified Retinal Angiographer (CRA) and/or JCAHPO certification - preferred
