Job description

The Retail Office Supervisor is responsible for leading the front office and administrative operations of the retail store while providing an exceptional experience for our guests. This role leads and develops the Customer Service team and partners with store leadership to support the overall operation of the store.
What You'll Do:
  • Lead, coach and develop Customer Service Representatives to support performance, growth and development.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and professionally resolve escalated customer concerns.
  • Ensure sales orders are processed accurately and efficiently and oversee customer credit applications and financing arrangements.
  • Follow and enforce cash handling procedures and maintain accurate store accounting and office documentation.
  • Support inventory and loss prevention processes, including merchandise receipt, transfers, price tagging and inventory.
  • Create, analyze and distribute daily financial, management and other required reports.
  • Open and close the store in rotation with other members of management and supervise the store team when the Store Manager or Sales Manager is not on duty.
  • Coordinate and manage the work of employees and ensure standard operating procedures are followed.
  • Manage employee performance through coaching, mentoring, performance reviews, training and development.
  • Make employment decisions and/or recommendations related to hiring, performance improvement, transfers, promotions, corrective actions, terminations and pay adjustments.
  • Maintain accurate employee timekeeping and attendance records.
  • Communicate Company and departmental goals through team meetings, individual meetings, coaching and training.
  • Manage resources to support efficient store operations.
  • Demonstrate the Company's Core and Growth Values in all job functions.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Two years of experience in a retail office environment with customer service experience required; furniture retail experience preferred.
  • Supervisory or management experience.
  • Strong customer service and relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization and time management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and respond professionally to difficult customer, employee or vendor situations.
