Job Purpose / Summary:

The Retail Store Associate will assist in the day-to-day operations within a best-in-class industrial supply retail store.  Reporting to the Store Manager, they will proactively drive product sales to exertional customers, promote product and customer demo/training, execute receiving/shipping/storage of in-store merchandise, and follow our retail fundaments to ensure the cleanliness and upkeep of the retail branch location.  


Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

The Retail Store Associate will be responsible for the following, but not limited to:

  • Contribute to branch performance against KPI goals and work proactively to improve results.  
    1. Processing counter sales and checking out customers
    2. Picking, packing, and shipping warehouse orders
    3. Answering customer phone calls in a timely manner
    4. Restocking, pricing, cleaning, and maintaining visual standards
  • Other duties as expected. 
      

Qualifications & Education Requirements: 

To perform the job successfully, an individual must have the following:

  • Must be eighteen (18) years of age or older
  • High school diploma or equivalent is preferred
  • Minimum of 1 year in a similar role.  
  • Experience with using a computer for daily tasks.   
  • Have extensive verbal communication required for customer and associate relations.  
  • Ability to work closely with all levels inside the retail location.  
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screening and background check.

Travel Required:

  • 0% Travel

Working Conditions / Physical Demands:

  • High SKU diverse retail store operations that encompass small individual items to large material handling equipment. 
  • Some MHE equipment used.  
  • Utilize a computer and other tools to monitor productivity and operations. 
  • Lift, push, pull, and grasp up to 48 pounds while standing and kneeling. 
  • Work in a high traffic area.
