To thrive as a Retail Software Developer, you need strong programming skills (such as Java, C#, or JavaScript), a solid understanding of retail business processes, and typically a degree in computer science or related field. Experience with point-of-sale (POS) systems, e-commerce platforms, and databases, as well as familiarity with version control tools like Git, is highly valuable.
