Job description

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Retail Manager of Store Process Operations is responsible for driving operational excellence by identifying opportunities to improve retail processes, enhance productivity, and increase execution consistency across the retail organization. This role evaluates and optimizes business processes, leverages data and performance insights to identify improvement opportunities, and leads cross-functional initiatives that enhance operational efficiency, execution consistency, and the overall customer experience. The manager partners closely with field leadership and support teams to design, implement, and sustain scalable solutions, standardized operating procedures, and strategic programs that improve store performance and support the organization's business objectives. Through effective project Management, change leadership, and collaboration, this position fosters a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement across all retail locations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Analyze current retail operations to identify process inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Gather feedback from stores and translate operational needs into actional improvement initiatives.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Retail Operations, Field Leadership, Merchandising, Human Resources, Learning & Development, Supply Chain, and Technology teams to improve productivity, and operational consistency and business execution.
  • Lead end-to-end operational improvement projects, pilot programs, and strategic initiatives, including planning, implementation, change management, communication, impact assessment, ROI evaluation, and enterprise-wide rollout recommendations.
  • Design, document, and implement standardized operating procedures (SOPs), operational playbooks, workflow maps, best practices, and other tools that support consistent execution across all retail locations.
  • Develop and maintain operational dashboards, KPIs, reporting tools, and performance metrics that support data-driven decision-making and evaluate initiative success.
  • Support new program, process, technology, and operational implementations by developing scalable execution plans and providing guidance, coaching, and operational support to store and field leadership teams.
  • Foster a culture of operational excellence, innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement throughout the retail organization.
  • ALL OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor's Degree in Management, Business, or equivalent experience
  • Years of experience: 5-8 years of experience in Retail Process Improvement and/or Retail Management required

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY:
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to facilitate meetings, lead business reviews, and deliver presentations to both large and small groups.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively influence, present recommendations, and respond to questions from executive leadership, field management, and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Ability to analyze business performance metrics, financial results, labor productivity, inventory trends, and operational KPIs to identify opportunities and drive measurable business outcomes.
  • Ability to interpret and apply financial, operational, legal, and technical information to support sound business decisions and organizational objectives.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, business intelligence and reporting tools, retail technology platforms, point-of-sale systems, inventory management applications, and other enterprise software.
  • Ability to quickly learn, adapt to, and champion new technologies and processes.
  • Ability to collaborate, build relationships, and influence across all levels of the organization.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
  • 20% Travel Expectations

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Regularly sits and works on a computer.
Occasionally stands and walks.
Seldom/never lifts up to 50 lbs.
INDEPENDENT JUDGEMENT:
Develops objectives and general policies and procedures for a specific program or functional area of responsibility within general scope of established operational goals and plans. Day-to-day work and decisions do not require direction or review by immediate supervisor. End results are reviewed by supervisor.
