Role Overview
Sodexo is seeking a dynamic Retail Operations Manager to join our Food & Nutrition team at Tufts Medical Center, a leading academic medical center located in the heart of Boston, Massachusetts. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing the daily retail dining operations and delivering an exceptional customer experience for patients, visitors, physicians, and employees.
What You'll Do
  • Lead the day-to-day operations of retail dining venues, cafes, coffee concepts, and grab-and-go programs.
  • Drive customer satisfaction through hospitality-focused service standards and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Manage financial performance including revenue growth, labor management, budgeting, forecasting, cash controls, and cost containment.
  • Ensure compliance with Sodexo food safety, sanitation, HACCP, and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain retail brand standards and merchandising programs across all concepts.
  • Oversee inventory management, purchasing, receiving, and product usage to minimize waste.
  • Lead, coach, train, and develop frontline supervisors and hourly employees.

What You Bring
  • Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3+ years of foodservice, retail, hospitality, or healthcare operations management experience.
  • Experience managing high-volume retail dining operations.
  • Demonstrated success leading and developing diverse teams.
  • Experience with inventory management, purchasing, and cash handling procedures.
  • Knowledge of HACCP, food safety regulations, and sanitation standards.
  • Experience with Sodexo systems such as FMS, Retail Ranger, UFS, or comparable foodservice management systems is a plus.
