Description
Position Summary Contributes to the mission of Goodwill by profitably managing a Goodwill Retail store, donation site and instore production facility. Maintains high standards and motivate staff to maximize performance to achieve store goals.
Essential duties include the following. Other duties within the scope of this position may be assigned.
1. Acts as a role model in manner and appearance to promote a positive work environment.
2. Meets store goals, identifies work to be done, prioritizes and delegates to drive results. Utilizes the MATRIX as a tool to drive store performance.
3. Promotes Goodwill's high standard of exceptional customer service both internally and externally.
4. Embraces and executes key on boarding principles to prepare and nurture new and transferred associates.
5. Conducts weekly management team meetings, monthly staff meetings, check ins.
6. Manages change through communication and positive support of all company initiatives.
7. Recognizes and rewards behaviors that reinforce both progress and success utilizing the recognition programs.
8. Identifies, develops and retains high potential associates, nurtures for next level.
9. Ensures an effective learning environment by using all tools available i.e.: RAM and Lead Readiness, Individual Development Plans, Performance Improvement Plans, DGR Management Classes.
10. Schedules and staffs the store for maximum efficiency and exceptional customer experience.
11. Maximizes the value of donated goods by ensuring timely processing, monitor inventory levels.
12. Adheres to Goodwill operating standards, including a high standard in visual presentation and cleanliness.
13. Solicits customer and associate feedback, act on it.
14. Utilizes management information tools i.e.: Daily Sales, Production Report, Sales by Commodity, Monthly Variance and Expense Reports to identify trends.
15. Responds to all customer inquiries in a timely manner.
Supervisory Responsibilities The associate in this position has supervisory responsibility for designated associates in their department.
Education / Experience / Certificates / Security Clearance
* High School Diploma or GED, required. Bachelor's Degree in Business Management or a related field, preferred.
* 3 Years' experience in a related field, required.
* No professional certifications are required for this position.
* The associate is not required to drive as part of their job duties.
* The associate in this position will be required to successfully pass a criminal background check.

Safety Statement Associates are required to follow Goodwill's safety rules and regulations, as outlined in Goodwill's policy and procedure manual. Managers have the added responsibility to ensure the compliance of their team members.

Physical Demands / Work Environment / Work Conditions
* The associate is required to lift 50 pounds with frequent lifting and/or carrying objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
* The associate works in a moderate work environment with occassional exposure to extreme atmospheric conditions (temperature, noise, fumes, dust, etc.)
