Job description

Job Summary 

The Retail Operations Associate is responsible for receiving, unpacking and preparing merchandise for the selling floor. They are also responsible for the organization, maintenance and cleanliness of the stock room.

 

Examples of Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Creates a positive first impression by adhering to the dress code 

Inventory Management

  • Notifies management of any shipment discrepancies and missed markdowns in the stock room 
  • Sensors, steams, folds and hangs merchandise as needed 
  • Brings in and unpacks new goods to the selling floor 
  • Replenishes merchandise from the stock room to the selling floor 
  • Executes transfers, RTVs, damages and customer charge sends 

Back-of-House Organization

  • Lead efforts to maintain the cleanliness, organization, and efficiency of the back-of-house area and front-of-house. 
  • Implement strategic storage solutions to optimize space and facilitate easy access to merchandise.
  • Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with company policies in the back-of-house environment.

 

Shipment Handling

  • Manage incoming shipments, including verifying contents, documenting receipts, and processing merchandise for stocking.
  • Coordinate outgoing shipments, pack items securely, and arrange for timely pickups and deliveries.
  • Monitor shipment schedules and communicate any delays or issues to relevant stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with store managers at both sending and receiving locations to fulfill transfer requests promptly and efficiently.

Qualifications 
  • Minimum of 2 years work experience. 
  • High School diploma

Physical Requirements: 

  • This position requires the ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
  • Frequent standing. 
  • Frequent pulling, pushing, and lifting of up to 40 lbs. 
  • Occasional bending, stooping.
