The Role:

The Market Research team is the heart of CoStar, capturing critical information that enables our commercial real estate clients to make informed, high impact business decisions daily. CoStar Group’s research contributes to the most important segment of our economy, helping businesses open offices, retail stores, warehouses, and manufacturing facilities. Costar Group is seeking a Market Manager to join our growing research organization. As a Market Manager Field Leads, you will be leading a team of Field Lead Researchers who are responsible for investigating and profiling new market opportunities to help owners, brokers and real estate professionals identify market exposure best suited for their buildings. CoStar Group’s research contributes to the most important segment of our economy, helping businesses open offices, stores, and warehouses and manufacturing facilities. Every day our research helps our clients make informed investment decisions. Because of the impact our research has on the economy, CoStar Group’s benefits and salaries lead the industry. This position is in office Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of 9 plus Associate Research Consultants dedicated to delivering comprehensive real estate market opportunity coverage of accurate and complete commercial real estate information to CoStar clients
  • Foster a strong team culture and dynamic and provide regular coaching to the development of the team
  • Ensure continuous delivery of timely, comprehensive, and accurate information whilst providing CoStar clients with the highest standard of customer service
  • Conduct regular call evaluations, training and mentoring sessions with your team
  • Coaching and guiding your team to produce meaningful telephone interactions consisting of effective questioning, listening, probing and sharing of information
  • Coach, mentor, and develop team members through individual development plans tailored to skills, competency, and career development that results in a center of excellence
  • Prepare monthly executive reporting updates highlighting workflow, process and strategy
  • Collaborate with photography and field research departments to identify key opportunities in each market
  • Conduct audits to ensure real-time data is being used by clients to make investment decisions
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited, not-for-profit, in-person University or College
  • A track record of commitment to prior employers
  • 2+ years previous experience leading a team of 6 or more individuals
  • 2+ years of experience in a professional, corporate environment
  • 2+ years of experience within commercial real estate
  • Bachelor’s degree required coupled with experience as a Senior Researcher or Principal Researcher (for internal applicants)
  • 1+ years of Microsoft Office experience
  • Microsoft Excel experience is required
  • Flexibility to work shifts aligned with ET, CT, MT, or PT time zones
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated interest and/or experience in the commercial real estate industry
  • Experience with creating effective KPIs and meeting performance metrics, being results-oriented
  • Leadership and management skills, including the ability to prioritize and control workload of a team, coaching, and mentoring on professional development
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Success in building strong, cohesive teams by leading and motivating towards action/execution through influence and collaboration
  • Ability to articulate and execute corporate strategy, well-communicated with the ability to influence
  • Experience and demonstrated proficiency with Excel that includes the ability to manipulate data, filter, and develop basic formulas
  • All qualified candidates will be given an assessment to determine their knowledge of Microsoft Excel 2016
  • Creative problem solving, attention to detail, objectivity and the ability to think strategically
  • Analytical approach with the ability to interpret information and trends, adapting quickly
  • Ability to interact at all levels and establish rapport with both internal and external stakeholders

The final salary or hourly rate offered for this role will fall within the range set forth below based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, geographic location, skills, and competencies. Base Compensation: $100,000 Annually.
