Job description

THE POSITION We are looking for a dynamic and results-driven Liquor Store Assistant Manager 3 to join our Fine Wine & Good Spirits store at Town Center Drive in York. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in ensuring the smooth operation of the store while delivering exceptional customer service. You will work closely with the General Manager to lead, motivate, and develop a team, drive sales, and maintain high standards of store presentation.

As an Assistant Manager 3, you will perform the following duties: Shift Operations: Oversee store activities during assigned shifts and ensure compliance with policies Team Leadership: Guide staff by assigning tasks, checking work quality, and offering clear direction Sales Support: Participate in sales functions such as stocking products, receiving shipments, and helping customers Customer Service: Address questions, resolve concerns, and maintain a positive shopping environment Store Upkeep: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized store space Inventory Assistance: Help manage stock levels and maintain accurate product displays At Fine Wine & Good Spirits, we offer a unique opportunity to grow within a state-owned retail environment with a focus on quality customer service and team development. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: One year as a Liquor Store Assistant Manager 2 or a Liquor Store General Manager 1B (Commonwealth job titles or equivalent Federal Government job titles, as determined by the Office of Administration); or Two years as a Liquor Store Assistant Manager 1 or a Liquor Store General Manager 1A (Commonwealth job titles or equivalent Federal Government job titles, as determined by the Office of Administration); or Three years as a Liquor Store Clerk 2 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or Three years of lead or supervisory retail sales work.

Legal Requirements: You must pass a background investigation. An applicant with a felony conviction within the last ten years of their prospective date of employment is not permitted to work for the PLCB, per section 210(c) of the Pennsylvania Liquor Code. Other criminal convictions will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
