Are you a seasoned real estate attorney ready to bring your real estate expertise in-house and make a visible business impact? Publix Super Markets, Inc. is seeking a Real Estate Attorney to join our corporate legal team. In this role, you'll partner closely with the business and play a key part in supporting the company's continued growth across a large, multi-state retail portfolio.
As part of the Real Estate Legal team, you'll work alongside internal partners on a broad range of high-impact real estate matters, including leasing, acquisitions, development, and other strategic initiatives. You'll also help support a portfolio of more than 4,000 shopping center tenants leasing space from Publix and its subsidiaries in company-owned centers. This is an exciting opportunity for an attorney who enjoys fast-paced, business-facing work and wants to influence complex transactions at scale.

 What You'll Do
  • Provide day-to-day legal support for a large portfolio of retail and industrial real estate assets across multiple states including AL, GA, FL, KY, NC, SC, TN & VA.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate a high volume of commercial real estate documents, including:
    • Leases (including build-to-suit and ground leases)
    • Purchase and sale agreements
    • Easements, covenants, and development agreements
  • Support site acquisition, leasing, and development strategies in partnership with Real Estate and Facilities teams.
  • Conduct and analyze title, survey, and due diligence matters.
  • Provide strategic legal guidance to business leaders and cross-functional teams.
  • Partner with internal teams to improve processes, develop templates, and drive operational consistency.
  • Monitor legal and regulatory trends impacting real estate transactions and retail operations.
