Job description

We're looking to connect with a strong, field-focused Superintendent who takes full ownership of the jobsite and has experience delivering complex commercial or retail projects in NYC. Client Details Our client is a full-service General Contractor and Construction Manager based in NYC, known for delivering complex, high-visibility projects across commercial, retail, and mixed-use sectors.

Founded by senior industry leaders and operating with a "master builder" mindset, they are trusted by developers and global brands to execute technically demanding work with a hands-on, execution-driven approach. Description Oversee day-to-day field operations from mobilization through closeout Manage and coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and site logistics Drive the construction schedule and maintain sequencing across all trades Lead daily coordination meetings with field teams, PMs, and design professionals Enforce safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized jobsite Perform quality control checks to ensure work meets plans and specifications Track progress, maintain daily logs, and manage inspections/sign-offs Identify and resolve field issues proactively to avoid schedule impacts Support project startup, logistics planning, and closeout processes Mentor Assistant Superintendents and field staff MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law. Profile A successful Superintendent should have: 7+ years of experience as a Superintendent on commercial, retail, or interior projects Proven ability to manage projects from start through closeout in NYC Strong leadership presence - able to run the jobsite and hold subs accountable Experience working on fast-paced, high-end or technically complex builds Strong understanding of scheduling, logistics, and trade coordination Proficient with Procore, MS Project, or similar tools OSHA-30 required (SST or NYC DOB experience a strong plus) Job Offer Competitive salary ranging from $130000 to $150000, depending on experience.
