Job description

Inventory Assistant

Reports to District Inventory Manager, Store Manager, Operations Assistant Manager

Shift: Monday to Friday, Saturdays as needed

Position Summary:

Manages inventory of store products and store materials. Employs a variety of physical and computer processes to maintain inventory levels. Ensures that reporting is completed in a timely and accurate manner.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Meets with the Store Manager regularly, relating all critical information and suggestions.

Communicates with the District Inventory Manager regularly, proactively seeks assistance on inventory issues.

Coordinates with the Receiving Assistant Manager as needed on the receipt of inventory.

Conducts monthly inventory health in Mango inventory system.

Works negatives list daily to fix issues.

Scans outs in the store weekly to engage with physical inventory.

Handles issues with pricing, scanning, and promotions as they arise.

Coordinates price tags and labels to ensure pricing signage is kept up to date.

Pushes out Win the Month promotional program.

Maintains location codes.

Cycles counts on sensitive areas.

Fills in on cash register when necessary.

Always maintains a neat, personal appearance and wears the company uniform and nametag.

Lives and exemplifies W.D. Bryant's customer promise.

Required Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

Ability to stay organized and manage time effectively

Attention to detail to ensure the accuracy of reports

Excellent interpersonal communication capabilities

The minimum physical requirements for this position include:

Ability to stand for an extended period, walk, reach, and bend to perform job duties.

Move and handle merchandise up to 25 pounds, and fixtures throughout the store, which entails lifting and performing all functions as set forth.
