Human Resources Assistant

As a member of our hospitality team, the primary responsibility of a Human Resources Assistant is to provide comprehensive support to the HR department by filing and maintaining associate personnel records, addressing inquiries from associates, and compiling data for reporting purposes. This role will also answer phone calls, compose newsletters, send birthday cards to associates, and help with daily tasks in the HR office. A crucial part of this role is handling confidential information with discretion, attention to detail, organizational skills, and fostering a positive work environment by engaging with associates in a friendly and professional manner.

  • Ensure the accurate and organized maintenance of employee records, including personal information, compensation details, benefits, tax information, attendance records, performance reviews, and termination documentation.
  • Regularly update employee files to reflect personnel actions and changes, ensuring payroll and other relevant systems have the most accurate and up-to-date information.
  • Review employee files and promptly respond to authorized individuals' inquiries, providing necessary information and assistance.
  • Prepare and distribute bi-weekly newsletters to associates, sharing important updates, news, and recognition to foster communication and engagement.
  • Demonstrate thoughtfulness and recognition by sending birthday cards to associates on their special day, fostering a positive and personalized work environment.
  • Support the HR staff with daily tasks and projects, collaborating to ensure the smooth operation of HR functions and initiatives.
