Finance Specialist (BC/Quotation & Program Controlling)

As a Finance Specialist, you will support the costing & sales teams to quote new programs, ensuring assumptions are correct, keeping the transparency of the inputs, and highlighting the risks & opportunities. This is a cross-functional role that will have an impact across all the functions, while being the partner of choice for the sales managers and their teams to grow our business

Your Role

  • Build clear and accurate financial business cases for new quotes (new programs and engineering changes), making sure that all main assumptions are validated and owned by each function in charge.
  • Perform cost variation analysis for the different evolutions (engineering changes, CAPEX updates, pricing, purchasing inputs etc.).
  • Understand the cost model to simulate different possible scenarios and thresholds.
  • Responsible for preparing and presenting the profitability of program for the Gates Review meetings.
  • Drive the core team to improve the profitability of new programs through the gate review process.
  • Ensure the proper application of indexed commodities pricing. Ensure accurate pricing at launch.
  • Support appropriation request meetings, create projects in SAP and control the release of funds.
  • Pursue the tooling Rebill in a timely manner and provide forecast updates.
  • Support and coordinate the claim process during the program phase. Ensure the exhaustiveness of all concepts to be recovered and validate the amounts being claimed.
  • Support the post-audit process of each major program and present the convergence plans needed. Provide a clear view of the status versus target.
  • Support the forecasting and budgeting process for new programs.
  • Maintain documentation, work instructions and attend internal audits

Your Background

  • 2+ years of experience in costing or program controlling , ideally within the automotive industry.
  • Strong background in cost estimation, standard costing and variance analysis.
  • Experience working in a matrixed, multinational organization with exposure to business leaders.
  • Expertise in Excel-based modeling, and solid working knowledge in SAP.
  • Bachelor's degree in, Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field. An engineering background would be significant plus for that position.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
  • You speak fluently English and Spanish.
