- Prepare and post journal entries and maintain the general ledger.
- Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations and support the month-end and year-end close process.
- Assist in preparing monthly financial statements and management reports.
- Analyze profit and loss and balance sheet variances.
- Reconcile bank accounts and support cash management activities.
- Support inventory accounting and reconciliation for multiple retail locations.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Prepare audit schedules and assist with annual audits and regulatory reporting.
- Evaluate and improve accounting workflows to increase efficiency, accuracy, and collaboration between the Corporate Office and store locations.
- Utilize Epicor Eagle and Microsoft Excel to analyze financial data and improve reporting.
- Partner with store management and department leaders to support sound financial decision-making.
- Perform other accounting and finance-related duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience.
- Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Experience with month-end close, financial reporting, and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including PivotTables, lookups, and financial analysis.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
- Retail, inventory, or multi-location accounting experience.
- Experience with Epicor Eagle accounting software.
