The Retail Department Manager grows department sales to achieve the store sales plan. The Retail Department Manager responsibilities include aspects of merchandising, customer service, and store maintenance.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Greet and acknowledge every customer with Ollie's "Yes I Care, Yes I Can" approach to build long term customer loyalty.
  • Ensure that all product within the department is merchandised and recovered per the visual merchandise standards.
  • Be knowledgeable of current promotions and advertisements to answer customer questions and drive sales.
  • Support Ollie’s Army and other donation programs year-round.
  • Assist with receiving the truck and pricing items, training new Associates, and accurately and efficiently operating the register.
  • Maintain the store appearance and complete additional responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred
  • 6+ months retail experience preferred
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays on a regular basis.
  • Positive attitude and team player who interacts well with customers and associates.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to push and pull up to 35 pounds.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a safe manner
