We are seeking a motivated full-time Branch Relationship Banker (Personal Banker) to join California Bank & Trust in Huntington Beach, CA. The Branch Relationship Banker plays a key role in delivering a full-service banking experience and building strong, personalized relationships with branch clients.

Responsibilities

  • Delivers comprehensive, full-service relationship banking to both new and existing clients with an active focus on sales, service, and personalized solutions.
  • Opens new accounts, originates and closes consumer or small business loans, and assists with branch cash transactions as needed to ensure smooth operational flow.
  • Resolves client inquiries and service issues through direct personal action or by collaborating with alternative specialized bank departments.
  • Identifies client financial needs and proactively makes strategic referrals for other bank products and services, including commercial lending solutions.
  • Establishes and nurtures long-term, high-value customer relationships by providing extensive, tailored services that address specific individual and business goals.
  • Maintains diligent client follow-up to ensure complete satisfaction, build trust, and deepen overall customer retention.
  • You may be reassigned to an alternate location depending on business needs within a reasonable distance (30 miles of branch location) and given proper notice.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent and 2-6 years' experience as a universal banker/personal banker or similar retail banking role. 
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may meet qualifications.
  • Previous experience in a financial sales representative-oriented role preferred.
  • Solid understanding of standard retail banking products, services, transactions, and mathematical calculations.
  • Practical knowledge of consumer lending applications and processes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to build trust and lasting client relationships.
  • Demonstrated ability in active selling, cross-selling, and client referral generation.
  • Strong attention to detail, proactive problem-solving, efficient time-management, and proficiency in basic computer systems.
