Job Title: Retail Associate

Job Summary: Retail Associates are responsible for ensuring smooth and efficient transactions at our retail establishments. They are also responsible for processing sales transactions accurately, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining a clean and organized checkout area. This position requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Efficiently and accurately ring up sales transactions using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
  • Greet customers with a friendly and welcoming demeanor, answer inquiries, and assist with product selection as needed.
  • Accept cash, credit/debit cards, and other forms of payment, ensuring accuracy in tendering change and processing payments securely.
  • Keep the checkout area clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies such as bags and receipt paper.
  • Address customer concerns or complaints in a professional and courteous manner, seeking assistance from management when necessary.
  • Inform customers about current promotions, discounts, and loyalty programs to enhance their shopping experience and increase sales.
  • Restock merchandise on shelves and racks as needed, ensuring items are neatly arranged and easily accessible to customers.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding cash handling, including balancing cash drawers and completing end-of-day reports accurately.
  • Maintain awareness of safety protocols and procedures, including proper handling of hazardous materials and adherence to fire and emergency evacuation procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure smooth store operations, including assisting with tasks outside of cashiering as needed.

Education/Experience:

  • Attending high school.

Physical Requirements:
