Job description

At TransChicago Truck Group, we keep the trucks and people that power our economy rolling. We're a full-service commercial truck dealership representing Freightliner and Western Star by providing sales, service, and parts for the trucks that keep goods on the road. We're looking for a Parts Driver who will be responsible for delivering parts to customers and picking up parts from suppliers for the dealership. This role is on the 1st Shift, M-F 7:00AM-3:30PM.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
  • Pick up and deliver parts to customers, wholesale accounts, and suppliers.
  • Check before leaving to coordinate any last-minute pick-ups or deliveries.
  • Assist with pulling customer order(s) when requested.
  • Verify that invoice matches purchase order for each pick-up.
  • Check payments received with the invoices for each delivery.
  • Keep an accurate log of daily deliveries and pick-ups. Request recipient's signature on each delivery entry.
  • Unload truck each night. Turn in all paperwork and undelivered parts.
  • Help with stocking and posting orders when they arrive to expedite delivery to shop technicians and retail accounts.
  • Provide occasional assistance in the warehouse as needed.
Education and/or Required Experience:
  • Previous commercial driving experience required.
  • One plus years industry experience a plus.
