Job description

Description Under the general supervision of the Library Director, the Community Learning Center Coordinator (CLCC) is responsible for organizing the day-to-day activities of the Learning Center to ensure operational efficiency. This includes the implementation of the Learning Center's goals and objectives, as well as establishing and executing relevant policies and procedures. The CLCC will also participate in outreach to promote programs, and services, and further build relationships within the community.

Salary $33.65 to $36.16 Hourly, $61,251 to $65,805 Annually, Non Union Grade 9, Non-exempt Schedule Monday 12:00pm to 8:00pm, Tuesday through Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm and Saturdays as needed with a one-hour unpaid lunch break, 35 hour work week Examples of Duties Oversees the learning center, monitoring that area of the library for general patron needs Manages the schedule and booking for reservable spaces including the Meeting Room, private pods, flexible learning space, and conference room Collaborate with schools, town departments, and other local entities to identify community needs in the areas of health, technology, education, and employment and work towards providing for those needs Keeps the community job board up to date Assists patrons with the technical side of attending telehealth appointments in the pods Provides career planning assistance by appointment Provides practice interviews by appointment Provides resume and/or cover letter review either in person by appointment or over email Assists patrons with the technical side of job searching online and filling out online applications Provides one-on-one tech help by appointment Plan, market, and teach technology classes Plan, market, and teach or arrange presenters for workforce or education programs Assist the Community Paramedic Program with technology and booking appointments and programs as needed Provides online navigational assistance on a scheduled and on demand basis Assists other staff members with technical questions and training Performs other duties as assigned and consistent with this position. May supervise part time work of Library Technical Assistant. Provides back-up for circulation and/or reference desk when needed

Typical Qualifications Education and Experience Master's Degree in Library Science (MLS) or Library and Information Science (MLIS) from an American Library Association accredited graduate program; and Experience in an office environment working with computer software and hardware or equivalent combination of education and experience; or An equivalent combination of education and experience Requires valid state drivers license or ability to obtain same prior to employment Necessary Knowledge, Skills, and Capabilities Considerable knowledge of computer software, hardware and peripheral equipment; working knowledge of modern office practices and procedures; knowledge of cash handling and cash reconciliation. Ability to meet and deal with the public, fellow employees and others; ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing.
