Job Description
  • Assist attorneys with all phases of Chapter 11 bankruptcy cases, out-of-court restructurings, and insolvency proceedings.
  • Prepare, file, and manage pleadings, motions, notices, affidavits, fee applications, and other court documents in federal bankruptcy courts.
  • Maintain and organize case files, dockets, exhibits, discovery materials, and transaction documents.
  • Monitor court deadlines, hearing schedules, and case developments using PACER, ECF, and bankruptcy court systems.
  • Conduct claims administration, including reviewing proofs of claim, claims reconciliation, claims objections, and creditor communications.
  • Support attorneys in the preparation of first-day motions, disclosure statements, plans of reorganization, asset sales, and financing transactions.
  • Coordinate with debtors, creditors, trustees, financial advisors, investment bankers, and other restructuring professionals.
  • Perform legal and factual research relating to bankruptcy, insolvency, secured transactions, and corporate restructuring matters.
  • Assist with due diligence reviews involving corporate governance documents, financing agreements, lien searches, and distressed asset transactions.
  • Manage document productions, e-discovery databases, and discovery responses in contested bankruptcy and restructuring litigation.
  • Prepare hearing binders, trial exhibits, witness files, and demonstratives for court appearances and evidentiary hearings.
  • Track  case developments, creditor committees, and restructuring milestones.
  • Support cross-border insolvency matters and multinational restructuring engagements when applicable.
  • Ensure compliance with firm procedures, court rules, and client reporting requirements.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree and/or ABA-approved Paralegal Certificate preferred.
  • 3+ years of bankruptcy, restructuring, insolvency, or complex litigation experience, preferably in a large law firm.
  • Strong knowledge of Chapter 11 proceedings, bankruptcy court procedures, PACER, and electronic filing systems.
  • Experience managing large document-intensive matters and complex case dockets.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Relativity, document management systems, and legal research platforms.
  • Exceptional organizational, analytical, and project management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple high-priority matters in a fast-paced Big Law environment.

This role involves managing large-scale case administration, court filings, claims analysis, due diligence, and coordination with clients, creditors, financial advisors, and court personnel in high-profile domestic and cross-border restructuring engagements.
