Job description

Restoration Technician

Position Overview: As a professional restoration technician at Restoration 1 of Charlottesville, you will have the ability of serving others when they experience an emergency at their home or business involving water, fire, mold and/or sewage.

Job Responsibilities

  • Become proficient in restoration tasks such as water extraction, selective demolition of affected non-salvageable building materials, immediate stabilization of the loss, handling affected and unaffected personal contents, restoration cleaning and applying specialty drying techniques according to the IICRC S500 standards and company’s policies.
  • Communicate professionally with customers, employees, and trade partners.
  • Adhere to safety guidelines and maintain safe work environments
  • Ensures company owned vehicles, equipment, tools and supplies are properly handled and maintained.
  • Performs required documentations and pictures according to the IICRC S500 standards and company’s policies.

Job Requirements:

  • High school degree or equivalent
  • Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record
  • Pass background check • Good customer service skills and communication
  • Experience with using mobile software programs and devices
  • Professional: reports to work on time, dependable, maintains a clean appearance, uniform and company vehicles
  • Experience in restoration or construction industry is preferred but not required
  • IICRC certifications (WRT, AMRT, FSRT) are not required but preferred; willingness to obtain certifications
  • Ability to lift, carry, and/or move heavy objects, ability to work in tight areas (crawlspace, attic) and ability to wear full face respirator
  • Participate in an “on-call” rotation for emergency calls after-hours including holidays and weekends
  • Daily weekend monitoring during “on-call” weekend
  • Main office located in Waynesboro, VA. Must be able to be dispatched daily from our main office.
