Green Country Habitat for Humanity's Mission Statement: Seeking to put God's love into action, Green Country Habitat for Humanity brings people together to build homes, communities, and hope.

Summary: Responsible for scheduling and logistics, experience with retail sales, have a "customer first" mindset, and have the desire to work in a nonstandard retail environment. The individual must possess a team spirit attitude as the position requires interaction with a diverse group of employees, donors, volunteers, and community services workers. This position requires you to work on the sales floor as a cashier and customer service representative for the GCHFH ReStore.

Essential Functions:

  • Promptly returning calls from prospective donors and scheduling donation pick-ups.
  • Maintaining computerized tracking and filing systems.
  • Creating efficient pick-up schedules and routes for the ReStore Truck Drivers.
  • Inspecting contents of trucks.
  • Tracking and reporting donations, community service, and volunteer data.
  • Ensuring vehicles are thoroughly inspected, maintained, and in good repair.
  • Interacting positively with associates, donors, community service, and customers.
  • Assisting with the retail operation, including operating the cash register and making sales.
  • Providing superior customer service to donors and customers.
  • Implementing and following all store policies and procedures.
  • Directing volunteers, homeowners, and community service workers with a wide range of skills and abilities.
  • Maintaining vehicle maintenance and inspection logs.
  • Performing other tasks as required.
  • Developing relationships with all City and County offices (Tulsa, Creek, Wagner, Osage, Rogers, Mayes, Pawnee, Washington, Lincoln) to ensure each store has community service workers completing hours in all locations.
  • Communicating with skills and abilities that relate well to a diverse group of individuals.
  • Safety: Maintaining a workplace free from serious recognized hazards and complying with safety standards, rules, and regulations. Using tools available to maintain a safe environment. Educating yourself on hazards, safety practices, and rules. Communicating about any unsafe practices and conditions. Always following all safety rules and regulations. Reporting any injury, accident, or near miss (no matter how small) to management. See something, say something.

Experience / Education:

  • High School or GED equivalent.
  • Retail experience.
